Details leading to suspension:

On May 17, this employee teased a meadowlark (the state bird of his location) and as the fight escalated, an out-of-control cow charged unexpectedly. The result was the death of the meadowlark and injury to the cow (a 1-year old heifer), who unwittingly charged into a tree.

Employee Response:

I didn’t see the tree or the cow and also the meadowlark started it. But I’m sorry he’s dead. But it’s not like I killed him. The cow killed him. I also sprained my wing in the whole deal. My left wing.

Plan:

Having had repeated problems, Pengy is hereby assigned to desk duties at the ChewMouse.Com offices until Monday, June 9, 2008. He is also responsible for the one-hundred dollar fine for the killing of a state bird. He will be re-released onto the prairie on Tuesday, May 10, 2008 at 0800.

Should he refuse this plan of action, Pengy will be flown home as soon as a flight can be arranged.
